The senior members of the RCS team have worked together over the past 15 years and developed a shared lending philosophy and a common approach to deal execution and portfolio management.
The RCS team is well positioned to meet the changing needs of our private equity sponsors and management teams given our experience across a wide range of disciplines including originations, capital markets, underwriting and portfolio management.
The RCS deal team members are responsible for each investment from “origination to realization”. We believe this provides a more comprehensive understanding of the business strategy, the sponsor’s investment thesis and management team and allows RCS to better support and anticipate the needs of our portfolio companies.
Dave Dobies is the Managing Partner of Riverside Credit Solutions.
Dave's previous experience includes joining TCW Direct Lending group as a Managing Director in 2014 , responsible for the origination, due diligence review, structuring, execution of new investments, and ongoing management of portfolio companies. Prior to joining TCW, and starting in 2004, Mr. Dobies was a founding partner, member of the management committee, and Co-Head of Middle Market Leveraged Finance at NewStar Financial, Inc. From 1995 to 2004, Mr. Dobies served in various capacities of increasing responsibility at FleetBoston Financial Corporation and its predecessor institutions, where he was responsible for managing the Media, Entertainment, and Sports Finance syndication businesses. He began his career in 1987 as a Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated.
Mr. Dobies received a BSBA in Finance from Villanova University and an MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.
Mr. David Kilpatrick is a Partner at Riverside Credit Solutions, and together with Mr. David Dobies and Mr. Tom Gillis oversees all aspects of the Riverside Credit Solutions platform.
Prior to joining RCS in 2016, he was a Director in the Leveraged Finance division of Citizens Financial Group, where he was responsible for underwriting, executing and managing senior secured debt facilities supporting private equity-backed companies as well as publicly traded businesses. Prior to Citizens, Mr. Kilpatrick was a Director at NewStar Financial, Inc., a specialty finance company, where he originated and underwrote senior secured credit facilities for private equity-backed leverage buyouts, acquisitions and recapitalizations across a wide range of industries. Prior to NewStar, Mr. Kilpatrick spent three years at Citigroup and more than six years with Bank of America and predecessor institutions (FleetBoston and Fleet Bank) focused on underwriting and executing senior debt financings in the sports and entertainment industry as well as managing the portfolio.
Mr. Kilpatrick received his BA from Harvard University with a concentration in Economics.
Tom Gillis is a Partner with Riverside Credit Solutions. Previously Tom was Managing Director in the Sponsor Finance division of Silicon Valley Bank with a focus on originating and executing debt financing to companies in the Healthcare and Technology sectors.
Tom has over 15 years of experience financing middle market companies. He was a Director at NewStar Financial, a specialty finance company located in Boston with over $3 billion in lending capacity. Tom was a senior originator focused on sourcing and underwriting senior secured debt investments for private equity-backed companies in the Middle Market. Prior to NewStar, Tom spent over 6 years with Bank of America and FleetBoston focused on executing direct equity and mezzanine debt investment opportunities in the middle market across a variety of sectors.
Tom holds an MBA/MSF from the Boston College Carroll School of Management and a B.S. from St. Michael’s College.Kyle Lind joined Riverside in 2018 and supports the RCS partners in originations and portfolio management. Prior to joining the Firm in 2018, he was an Associate in the Leveraged Finance division of Citizens Financial Group, where he was responsible for underwriting, executing and managing senior secured debt facilities supporting private equity-backed companies as well as publicly traded businesses. Prior to his role at Citizens, Mr. Lind was a Senior Analyst at Great American Group, a provider of advisory and valuation services, where he worked with banks and their ABL borrowers to provide asset valuations across a wide range of industries.
Mr. Lind received his BA in Economics from The College of the Holy Cross.
Mr. Pat Sallet joined Riverside in 2022 and supports the RCS partners in originations and portfolio management. Prior to joining the Firm in 2022, he worked in corporate development at Lantheus Holdings, where he supported the development and execution of the company’s strategy through M&A, licensing, and portfolio management activities. Prior to his role at Lantheus, Mr. Sallet was an Associate in the Leveraged Finance and Debt Capital Markets divisions at Citizens Financial Group, where he was responsible for the origination, underwriting, and syndication of various debt facilities for sponsor and non-sponsor transactions across a wide range of industries.
Mr. Sallet holds a BS from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Pam Hendrickson serves as Vice Chairman at The Riverside Company, overseeing the development of new initiatives and supervises the Riverside Strategic Capital Fund and Riverside Credit Solutions. Ms. Hendrickson also sits on the global Riverside Investment Council, which considers investments in Riverside’s various fund strategies. Since her arrival in 2006, Riverside has invested in more than 200 companies and raised roughly $4 billion. She has also been a tireless advocate for diverse perspectives and private equity through Congressional testimony, television interviews, various interviews and op-eds that she has written.
Ms. Hendrickson is a past Chairman of the Board of the Association for Corporate Growth, a 14,500-member worldwide organization made up of the middle market deal-making ecosystem (private equity, investment banking, legal, accounting, etc.). She is also a member of the advisory board of the Kenan Institute for Ethics at Duke University. Prior to joining Riverside, she spent 22 years at J.P. Morgan Chase, 15 of them as a Managing Director in a variety of leadership roles. Ms. Hendrickson graduated from Duke University in 1982 with an AB in Public Policy and History and has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Josh Gettings joined Riverside in 2020 upon his undergraduate graduation. He supports the RCS team in the deal underwriting process and portfolio management. Mr. Gettings received his BS in Finance from Bentley University.
James Higgins joined Riverside in 2020 upon his undergraduate graduation. He supports the RCS team in the deal underwriting process and portfolio management. Mr. Higgins received his BA in Economics from Boston College.
Hardik Bhandari joined Riverside in 2022. He supports the RCS team in the deal underwriting process and portfolio management. Mr. Bhandari received his BBA in Finance from Baruch College.
Ms. Courtney Carlson joined Riverside in 2023. Ms. Carlson supports RCS in the deal underwriting process and portfolio management. Prior to joining Riverside, Courtney was a Financial Analyst with Dell Technologies. Ms. Carlson holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from The University of Kansas
Carolyn Pinchiaroli joined Riverside in 2023 upon her undergraduate graduation. She supports the RCS team in the deal underwriting process and portfolio management. Ms. Pinchiaroli holds a BSBA in Finance from Bryant University.
